Arborists / Climbers / Ground Staff Required
Established in 2007 Conal’s Tree Services are a main contractor to ESB Networks for Tree/Vegetation management on the overhead networks. Due to continued expansion we are currently seeking experienced and newly qualified Arborists/Tree Surgeons and Experienced Ground Staff to come join our team.
Experienced climbers with 2+ years’ experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Skills For Established Arborists/Tree Surgeons
- ISA Certified Arborist Qualification or similar
- City & Guilds/Lantra - Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Fell Small Trees up to 380mm
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Climb Trees & Perform Aerial Rescue
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Aerial Cutting of Trees Using Free Fall Techniques
- Full Drivers Licence
The following skills would be advantageous, but training will be provided to suitable candidates
- Manual Handling
- Ua1 Ireland
- Safe Pass or Equivalent (CSR Card UK)
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Safe use of a wood-chipper
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Aerial Pruning
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Aerial Rigging
- First Aid
- Drivers Licence Cat C
- Trailer Licence
- Experience working on ESB Networks

Experienced Ground Staff
QUALIFICATIONS

- City & Guilds/Lantra - Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Fell Small Trees up to 380mm
- City & Guilds/Lantra – Fell Trees Over 380mm
- Full Drivers Licence

- City & Guilds/Lantra – Carrying out Emergency Tree Works Operations

- First Aid
- Experience working on ESB Networks

Experienced PICW/Contractor Team Lead with 2+ years’ experience
(Must have worked on ESB Networks within the last 12 months)
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Skills For Experienced PICW/Contractor Team Lead
- ESB Networks Timber Cutting PICW Approval (Must be able to run a crew e.g. organise and plan the works, give direction to other crew members, liaise with councils, land owners, the general public and ESB Networks representatives etc.)
- Full Drivers Licence
- Meet the criteria for an experienced climber or groundsman as mentioned above
